    HOW TO EAT AND STORE

    • During shipping, your brownies may become warm. Upon receiving them, place brownies in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to set.

    WANT TO SAVE SOME?

    • Wrapped well at room temperature your brownies will stay fresh for 3 days.
    • For a future indulgence, wrap well and place in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or place in a freezer bag to freeze for up to 4 months.
    • When you are ready to enjoy, remove from the refrigerator or freezer and let come to room temperature (although many people love our brownies cold or as a frozen treat).

  • RED VELVET BROWNIES:  A SECRET OF THE SOUTH

    Where did Red Velvet Cake get its origins?  “Velvet Cakes” became popular in the early 1900’s a recipe that featured a softer crumb than the easy pound cake recipes baked from scratch in days past.  Where the “Red” comes from is believed to have been the result of cocoa powder, buttermilk, vinegar and baking soda.  The acidic ingredients reacted with the cocoa powder giving the cake it’s reddish hue. Traditionally topped with cream cheese frosting for creamy texture, Red Velvet Cake recipes became a staple of the South.  

    How do we make our Small Batch Red Velvet Brownies? We use many of the same traditional ingredients with the addition of White Chocolate Chips that give our brownies texture and creaminess enhancing the rich chewy taste and deep red color with brightness.  Our brownies will transport you to lazy summer days sipping sweet tea on a swing or hammock.
